St. Patrick's Day Festival 2009

St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival

Started in 1988, this FREE event is full of family fun and held each year in North Myrtle Beach. Main Street will be closed off to traffic on each end so the crowd can enjoy the parade of green as it travels from one end to the other. Last year’s event drew more than 30,000 folks to the North Myrtle Beach area.

The parade with its array of floats, vehicles, marching bands, clowns and entertainers will begin at 9AM on Saturday, March 14th. After the parade, you’ll have a blast at the street festival where you’ll find more than 50 arts & crafts booths and food vendors. There are two stages with entertainment going all afternoon. Scheduled performers include Gaelstorm (an acoustic Irish band), the Band of Oz (beach music), the Mason Lovette Band (classic rock/country), Too Much Sylvia, and the Triple Toe Cloggers. Festivities are scheduled to end at 4PM.
