August is almost over and September’s around the corner but that doesn’t mean the good times are coming to an end. Staff selections for the coming days include lots of fun events for the whole family. 2009 PGA Tour SuperStore World Amateur Golf Championship… 25th anniversary golf tournament. It's an amazing experience... 4,000 golfers from scratch to 30+ handicappers... 72 holes of intense stroke play competition, an 18-hole championship playoff, nightly parties and entertainment.

Summer Breeze Music Fest at La Belle Amie Vineyard… Late summer ocean breezes, shaded vineyard grounds, great afternoon, music, and wine – sounds pretty good. Plus, outdoor cooking, crafts, prizes, vineyard tour, and of course, sampling the wines of La Belle Amie Vineyard. Bring your chairs and blankets and come spend a most memorable day.

Admission is $8 per person (Under 18 & over 80 admitted Free). Bring two canned/dry good items for area food banks and get $3 off admission. Music from noon – 5 pm with The Holiday Band. Food available from Smokin' Pitt BBQ and Hunt's Lexington Style Cookin'. Vineyard tour at 2:30 pm.
Myrtle Beach Pelicans Baseball – home games Sept 4th – 7th against the Winston-Salem Dash. The Pelicans, the Atlanta Braves Class "A" team, are the local favorite Boys of Summer. Come out to BB&T/Coastal Field and see tomorrow’s stars today. Great seats from $7 to $11.

Big River, the Musical - at the Theatre of the Republic in downtown Conway. Come along with Huck Finn and runaway slave Jim on a musical adventure down the Mississippi River in this classic Mark Twain tale. Sunday 3PM matinees; 8PM shows Wed-Sat.
