November Holiday Events on the Grand Strand

November Holiday Events

The holiday season comes early on the Grand Strand, where Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day are like one big six-week festival.  From Christmas tree lighting to parades, the North Myrtle Beach area gets in the holiday spirit like nowhere else.  Join in the following festivities:

November 14 -17, Myrtle Beach Convention Center: Don't miss the 32nd Annual Dickens Christmas Show & Festival, featuring a wide range of arts and crafts, decorations and other exhibits, ushering in the holiday season at this four-day event.

November 15, Barefoot Landing, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m: See Santa arrive in true Myrtle Beach style - with a free fireworks show, carousel rides and the annual Lighting of the Landing. Christmas lights fill the complex and the fireworks light up the sky as the Jolly Ol' Elf touches down on the Grand Strand and touches off the holiday season.

November 23, Broadway at the Beach, 6 p.m: The 19th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at Broadway is one of the highlights of the holiday season on the Strand, featuring live musical, dance and choral performances leading up to the flipping of the switch.  For those who prefer a daytime activity, the Jingle Bells Walk/Run will be held at 8 a.m., as participants dress in their favorite Christmas costumes and parade around the complex.

November 29, Market Commons, 6 p.m.: The 6th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Market Common's Valor Park is a spectacular event for the whole family.  Bring a blanket and see the lights come on at the park while enjoying hot chocolate and holiday cheer.

November 30, Intracoastal Waterway, 5-7 p.m.: Celebrate the holidays in the Grand Strand at the 29th Annual Intracoastal Christmas Regatta Boat Parade, which features dozens of watercraft ranging from large yachts to tin fishing vessels all decked out in Christmas lights and decor. Spectators find spots all along the waterway to get a good view of the flotilla, which begins on the Little River waterfront and winds its way to Dock Holiday's Marina.

So book your holiday vacation in North Myrtle Beach!  There's lots to do this holiday season!
