Dog Days Blues & Jazz Fest at La Belle Amie Vineyard, August 8th… Cool blues & jazz on a summer day in a beautiful shaded venue. Plus, outdoor cooking, crafts, prizes, vineyard tour, a limerick contest, and, of course, sampling the wines of the Vineyard.

O.D. Pavilion and Amusement Park Opening

Family Fun Comes to Ocean Boulevard

This Saturday, August 1st, the O.D. Pavilion and Amusement Park will open to the delight of many visitors and locals. The park is located by the Main Street Horseshoe at 90 South Ocean Boulevard. Family fun is nothing new to this site – it was the home for the old O.D. Pavilion of the 50s and 60s.

Rides include a Ferris wheel, giant swing, a carousel and bumper cars. Lots of fun is in store for the kids with a circus train, tea cup ride, dinosaur ride and kids’ roller coaster. There will be all sorts of games and festival treats – funnel cakes, popcorn, candy apples, cotton candy and more.

The Pavilion and Park will be open through Labor Day weekend this year with plans for a full summer season in 2010. Scheduled hours of operation are from 4 to 11 p.m. but may vary with seasons. There is no admission fee. Instead, each ride has its own ticket requirement. Ticket prices are $1.25 each and ticket booklets are available.
