Best of Myrtle Beach (7/16 - 7/31)

Myrtle Beach Area Fun (July 16th - 31st, 2010)

HOT... SUMMER... FUN! It's been a fantastic summer here in North Myrtle Beach - lots of sunshine, warm surf, wide beaches full of smiling faces and laughing children. We were on the beach in Windy Hill Sunday with our grands, Archer & Oscar, and had a blast watching them play in the tidal pools and frolic in the surf. Their beach fun was capped off with a frozen slushy from Maggie, our favorite push-cart vendor... a pink slushy for Archer and a blue one for Oscar, naturally.

If your family hasn't yet made it here for a beach holiday this summer, we'd really like you to come over for some fun in the sun. I'm sure we still have a few oceanfront and off-ocean homes & condos available that will suit your needs - and at rates that won't bust the budget. Call us today at 866-249-2100 and let's make it happen!

Some of the fun stuff on the calendar for the rest of July includes:

~ Concerts & Shows at the Alabama Theatre... with that silky baritone voice of Josh Turner on the 16th, the Drifters, Coasters & Platters on the 23rd, and Jim Gaffigan on the 31st.

~ Concerts at the House of Blues... featuring Jamey Johnson the 25th, Ke$ha on the 29th, and Cyndi Lauper on the 31st.

~ Broadway at the Palace Theatre... with Alice in Wonderland wrapping up on the 17th, The Great American Trailer Park Musical continuing its successful run, and Narnia opening on the 19th. See show times online. Lots of fun for everyone!

~ Cool Summer Evenings at Brookgreen Gardens... with cruises down the creeks at 5:30 & 6:30, the Lowcountry Zoo open 'til 7 pm with the new otter exhibit, wonderful new lighting in the gardens, live entertainment and tasty southern summer suppers.

~ Roller Coasters, Waterslides, Carousels and More... at Family Kingdom Amusement Park, the O.D. Pavilion & Amusement Park, Myrtle Waves, NASCAR SpeedPark, and Broadway at the Beach's Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

A great summer beach holiday requires ICE CREAM. We suggest a stop at Painters Homemade Original in North Myrtle Beach. It's been here forever... best ice cream sandwiches I ever had!
